Since its opening in 1961, the Cruise Terminal Port became Barbados’ most important point for any traveler. The seaport is located in Bridgetown, on the southwest coast of Barbados, at the North-Western end of Carlisle Bay.
Also known as the Deep Water Harbour, the port is the main entry for southern-Caribbean cruise ships, and one of three designated ports of entry in Barbados, along with the privately owned Port Saint Charles marina and the Grantley Adams International Airport.
The cruise port handles daily trips to and from the other Caribbean islands connecting to major cities in the US, Canada, UK and Europe. The port’s timezone is GMT –4.
