If you are going to rent a car to get around during your stay in Barbados, we will make it easy for you to acquire a tourist driving license valid for up to 2 months (in most cases our valued customers choose this option). There is also an age restriction for obtaining a permit to drive (minimum requirement is 21 years of age or older and will need to have a valid permit issued from your country of residence).
Elderly citizens aged 70 years or older, and citizens with physical challenges wishing to acquire a temporary visitors driving license in Barbados will need to produce a medical certificate from a local medical practitioner proving they are fit and healthy to drive.
When you arrive in Barbados the last thing you need is the hassle and inconvenience of having to queue up in a government office to get your required temporary driver’s license. With Drive Barbados, you can avoid all this nuisance.
We can advise you of in advance of your visit what is required and personally sort out all the administration and paperwork for you. This means that when we meet you at the airport or sea port, we will not only have your car ready and waiting for you, but we will also be able to present you with your temporary driver’s license at the same time.
